Pogue Family

There are certain days where I just have to stand in aww of the people I get to meet.

This family makes me smile more than normal.

I see that smile behind those fingers.

Is it because they are silly?

Is it because they have amazing kids who are full of energy?

Is it because their laughs were contagious?

Is it because they treated me like I was family?

Is it because they are just normal people who love their family?

Well,

yes to all of it!!

Yet, this picture sums it up for me.

One picture that says more than any other word that could be said!!

Family!!

When they started to sing and play the whole world stopped.

The memories of family stirred my soul!

I went back to a little house in Kentucky with my grandma singing Amazing Grace,

my mom, brother, and cousins singing along as my Uncle and Aunt played.

Times that I would not trade for the world.

Someday these will be the same memories that you all will cherish.

The only difference is my memories are not captured on paper.

Family is a true gift in these house holds.

I saved my favorite picture for last as I always do.

You ask why this picture?

but It's not the perfect picture with everyone smiling.

This picture wins because...

First of all, kids are our future.

Secondly, Grandkids turn our world upside down and show us love we have never known.

Lastly, because this says family!

A little bit of singing from grandpa to soothe some aching teeth,

a funny face to make everything ok,

a caring grandma just checking on her grandkids,

a content older brother with no care in the world

and might I add the best smile I have ever seen

and a little sister with a smashed finger very happy to be snuggled by her grandma.

This for me is PERFECT!

FAMILY.
