Josh

Almost 10 years ago this not so little man was brought into my life
by an amazing young lady who fell in love with my brother.
He walked into my mom's house on Thanksgiving, 2008.
With a shy look on his face
and as quiet as could be.
He stared wide eyed at that place and the people in front of him.
The wonder on his face, that he still has today,
intrigued me as I watched him.
Now, he excels in school and has become the rotten nephew I love very much!
Our talks are never normal
which always has a way of making me smile and laugh!
I can say I stand in disbelief as I look at the man he has become.
He will head off to school next year and find out who he is.
I pray the wonder he had in his eyes,
when we first meet,
will always stay
as he learns what he likes and what he is good at
and where God calls him as a man.
Meet my nephew Josh and enjoy a small preview of his senior photo session.

It was so cold and windy outside
that we hid behind everything to keep the wind from blowing us away.
Temperatures were in the 30's in Lowell, Indiana
as we walked around.
Yet,
a blanket around his shoulders and a promise of breakfast
after we were done left no complaints in his mouth.
Well, maybe a few
but I'm sure if you could here the conversations we had
you would know he had as much fun as I did.

One last picture that sums up Josh and my favorite.
Each of us have a talent,
Each of us have a dream,
It's what we do with that talent and that dream that makes us who we are.

Trust in God,
Read,
Pray,
Learn,
Love,
Laugh,
and Don't give up!
