Welcome to First Christian Church in Rensselaer.

Established in 1889.

First Christian Church/ Wedding PhotographerFirst Christian Church in Rensselaer, Indiana was established in 1889. The architectural aspect of this old church is amazing. Mike and Missy had their wedding here on May 26, 2017.

Bride at the ChurchThis picture was taken before the wedding ceremony of the bride standing alone. She had the door part way open. Her wedding dress and veil were stunning in front of this old church in Rensselaer.

Cathedral Veil Flowing in the Wind/ First Christian ChurchThe wind was a bit strong the day of this May 2017 wedding. It made for some awesome pictures with the bride and groom. A little lift of the cathedral veil and it just flowed in the air to make this beautiful picture with the bride and groom looking at each other in front of that old church.

The details of this wedding were so perfect. No stone was left unturned. 

A little bit of batman for the groom.

Sentimental jewelry for the bride and flower girl.

The colors of the flowers, the architectural features of the church and don't forget about the stain glass were all perfect touches. 

The flowers were wooded flowers in colors of purple.

Every time I see these flowers I am in aww of how realistic they are and how beautiful they look.

Wedding Rings and Wooden FlowersThe bride had a special bouquet of flowers made for her out of wooden and paper flowers. The wedding rings on top of these many shades of purples and grays makes for the beautiful keep sake picture.

DetailsThe brides shoes had a special batman sticker added just for the groom. The wedding dress, maid of honer and flowers girl's dress hanging in front of the bouquet of flowers and the special shoes. The stained glass of this old church makes for a picture perfect detailed picture.

Now Missy and Mike did something special

so that all the kids could have a special part in the wedding and that was to make

Logan and Parker ring security. 

I loved this idea and will be sure to pass on this idea.

One of the best parts was to watch Mike and Missy get all the kids ready along with themselves.

Kids always steal the show at a wedding

I have to say these 6 made my husband and I smile all day.

Dad Can You Help Me Get ReadyTime ticked so fast on this special day in May, 2017. There are so many things that had to get done on this wedding day and when you have four boys to get ready for a wedding the pictures are priceless. The groom and one of the groomsmen help the oldest son with the finishing touches.

Father and Son Getting Ready on Dad's Wedding DayThe groom gets his son, the ring bearer, ready. They hide down stairs at this old church in Rensselaer to prepare for the wedding day.

Flower Girls DressThe bride is getting her daughter ready for the big day. This flower girl picked out her own dress just so she could twirl all night. As you can tell I love Black and white photography because it is time less and some day this picture will be timeless to her on her wedding day.

My SonI have to tell the story about this picture. This is Logan and he is in fourth grade. As of this day in May of 2017 Logan had perfect attendance going on at school, not just for the semester but for the whole year. He loves school. His dad was getting married on a Friday and he didn't want to mess up his perfect attendance. So the groom made sure Logan could stay all day at school and picked him up at the last minute before the wedding so that he could keep that perfect attendance. Logan got ready with his dad and then they walked out the door.

Stand stillA dad's work is never done especially when it is your wedding day and you have to get your boys ready. The groom fixes his son's shirt so that he looks perfect because this little guy has a very important job to do.

Let him sleep or wake him up and get him ready?

Let him sleepGrandma took this little guy for a ride while the bride and groom had their first look and some outside picture. He didn't quite make it back with his eyes open. I think we will wait just a little bit before we get him ready for his moms big wedding day.

Now its time for the bride and groom to get ready.

Mike there are no words.... you look perfect.

Cufflinks on the GroomThis picture was taken as the groom was getting ready at the First Christian Church in Rensselaer. The groom had a bit of trouble figuring out how to put the cufflinks on but his best man soon stepped in to help.

Best Man and the GroomThere were very few pictures of these two men not goofing around. The groom and the best man laughed the whole wedding day. Yet, when it came time to get ready the best man stepped in and helped when the groom couldn't do it himself. The light coming in from the window just makes this picture.

Buttoning Up the Wedding DressTheir is always that one picture that I alway strive to get and this is by far one that is very important. I stand back and watch how proud the mother of the bride is to be putting the final touches on the bride as she gets ready to see her groom for the first time. The brides best friend/ maid of honer stands in front of the bride with the look of amazement at how beautiful her friend looks in that wedding dress. Your look beautiful Missy!

Kiss Under the VeilAt the First Christian Church In Rensselaer, Indiana they have a side room that was absolutely beautiful for the bride to get ready in. The bride had a cathedral veil and a stunning wedding dress. The brides daughter, who is also the flower girl, gave her mom a kiss under that beautiful veil. The forecast had rain in it but the rain held off till after the wedding. So the beautiful light from the window made everything perfect of a stunning wedding picture.

These two kids think their mom looks amazing also! 

The KissThe bride takes a minute to kiss her son. Priceless!

Bride's Daughter Looking at Her MomThis young lady looks at her mom with love in her heart. They have a few minutes before time to leave. I can't tell you what is going through their minds right now but I can imagine the bride is thinking how beautiful the flower girl looks and the flower girl is thinking I want to look just like my mom. I love pictures like this.

A few final touches on dad and we are ready to go.

Stained Glass DadFirst Christian Church in Rensselaer is an old church but had some beautiful stained glass all over the church. Not only does this church have stained glass in the sanctuary but also in some of the doors up stairs. This picture was taken after the bride saw her dad for the first time right before the wedding ceremony. The bride took a few seconds to fix her dad's handkerchief in his front pocket of his suit. Time alone can make for the perfect memories moments.

Now Mike and Missy decided to do a first look

but

I like the bride and groom to see those pictures by themselves

so they can relive that special moment but here is one right after their special time.

After the first look we took a drive to St. Joseph's College

for a little fun

with the bridal party and the bride and groom.

Sophia couldn't quite make it.

Off to the reception at Signature Banquet Hall in Lowell.

Let the party begin.

Dance the night away like no one is watching.

First dance. 

Now, the father daughter dance started like this but what we didn't know was...

It would soon change. I am still smiling at this dance.

That markes the end of the night and the beginning of the rest of their lives together.
