Mr. & Mrs. Poort's Wedding Day
October 5, 2024
I Have Found The One Whom my Soul Loves.
A wedding is a promise
that two hearts make
a promise to..
help, give, take,
to be kind,
to be thoughtful,
considerate,
fair and
understanding,
To Share One life together in God's name.
Well...
I can write the normal photographer blog or I can write what a mom would say.
Today, I have to put down the photographer's hat for a few minutes and tell you
I was not ready for how emotional this day was going to be
or how even more emotional it was to edit these pictures.
This day took a year to plan and it was the most amazing time spent with the bridal party
and Donna and her amazing mom!!
We picked out the dress together,
we made center pieces together
everything that went into this wedding was done as a whole
and I am completely blessed to be a part of it!!
I have always prayed for this very moment and these special people!
I could not have asked for a better wife for my son or a better family to add into ours!!
The wedding day was perfect
but when I say it went faster then I could ever imagine...
well that is an understatement.
Fast forward to editing and literally forgetting some of the most amazing moments
because the day was just so full of memories.
As a photographer I will now have an even better grasp as to how very important this day is to capture
in the camera!
This day started with the girls getting ready in our studio and the guys getting ready at Kyle's house.
What Donna did not know is for the guys it actually started at the venue to practice Kyle's song
he wrote then home to get ready.
We had some very emotional moments and some practical jokes
so when I say we laughed our heads off and
cried as much, you will soon see.
The weather was so amazingly beautiful for October.
Temps in the 70-80 with a breeze we needed come ceremony time.
The chairs were set and the day was ready to get started.
Now take a minute or two to walk through a very very small
preview through our camera's eyes!
ENJOY every second!
I sure have.
Love is Patient,
Love is Kind
It does not envy
it does not boast
It is not proud.....
On the days where marriage is hard go back and read this again.
